Kids say it feels like a day of camp!
“Mom, can I come back next Friday?”
Imagine your child frolicking through forests, fields, and gardens—climbing trees, jumping over rocks and exploring the landscape at large. They’ll dive into the joy of spring, marveling at the ephemerial plants pushing through the earth, the new buds on trees, and diversity of fruiting fungi. Hands will admire moss-covered rocks and the soundtrack of bird song will be abundant. Their curiosity will lead them to further explore books about animals, plants, birds, and rocks, sparking a love for nature that lasts beyond the day.
Activities & Exploration
Our day is designed to connect kids with the living world through crafting, outdoor games, and learning activities that foster curiosity. Highlights include:
Nature Crafting: Dyeing eggs with natural pigments, weaving wreaths with grapevine, and more!
Building Fires: Learning fire safety and the patience it takes to cook over an open flame.
Foraging & Planting: Spring planting and discovering wild edibles.
Farm Fun: Visiting our friendly hens and cows, plus playing in the hayloft.
Following the rhythm and cycle of the seasons, each moment of the day is embraced with excitement and wonder as we immerse in the outdoors!
