MCDONALDS CORNERS, ON

Are you looking for a way to support your winter wellness and are new to herbs?

Is your digestion compromised?

Spend an afternoon learning about different ways to prepare herbal drinks - focusing on nourishing winter herbal infusions and deconcotions and nutrient-dense broths.

During the winter season, there are fewer local and seasonal foods to feast on however, nourishment can still be abundant with herbs and broth.

Herbs are full of minerals, vitamins, proteins, fats, essential oils, and other compounds that support wellness. They can be incorporated into cooking, nourishing herbal infusions, and nutrient dense veggie and bone broth.

With compromised digestion, from leaky gut to irritable bowel syndrome, being so common, digesting and absorbing nutrients from foods can become compromised. Making them bioavailable through broths and herbal infusions and deconcotions means your body won’t have to work hard to receive nutrition.

Ground yourself into the winter season and prepare your body for the coming of spring.

MEET THE FACILITATOR

melissa cornacchia

Hi! I’m Melissa, the Honeybee of the Homestead. My journey as a homesteader, folk herbalist, forager, naturalist and farm hand started 15 years ago. You can find me sipping on herbal teas, adding herbal salts and dried herbs to my meals, and enjoying homemade soap and facial serum made from herbal infused oil. I tend to gardens and visit plant allies in the forest and fields during the growing season. I’m in awe of how generous and forgiving the Plant People are and is in reverence for their support and nourishment. I’m stepping into the call to share plant teachings with community.
