I have used all my products and LOVE them! I wanted to reach out and say thank you again, it was a wonderful experience.

Have you walked trails and through your garden - noticing the same plants calling you over, season after season?

The lavender draws you into calm, the calendula lifts your soul, and somewhere in the back of your mind, the books, podcasts, and newsletters are whispering - this plant is your ally.

You doubt. Hesitate. The whisper comes back anyway.

That friend who always had a herbal salve on every camping trip - for the burn, the bite, the scratch. The booth at the farmer's market where you chat about plants and try something new each week. And then your bathroom cabinet. You’re starting to question the labels you can't pronounce. There's got to be another way.

Now what?

This is where it starts.

Herbal infused oils are the natural next step - one oil, many applications. A healing salve, a lip balm, a base for soaps and body butters. It begins with one afternoon among plant people.

Herbal Infused Oils is your foundational introduction to creating botanical handmade products. You'll learn to prepare herbal oils that are shelf-stable, mold-free, and brimming with potent plant medicine — crafted by infusing medicinal flowers, herbs, or resins into carrier oils like olive, jojoba, and sunflower.

Not all infusion methods are equal. The folk method I started with doesn't compare to the techniques I now swear by.

The result? More potent oils where the botanicals truly shine.

This workshop is for the longtime maker and the curious beginner alike. We'll get specific, give you a roadmap, and set you up to honour the plants you work with by extracting their full potential.

This is Part One of a two-part series on preparing herbal infused oils.

Part One sets the foundation for creating oils with dried plants.

Part Two — coming this summer — ventures into fresh plants and resins. (Get on the waitlist here.)

Imagine an apothecary full of nourishing herbal oils you can reach for anytime - to soothe your feet after a long day, create a healing salve, a nourishing lip balm or add one to your homecrafted soap.

Your desire to handcraft nourishing herbal products for yourself and your family starts here!

MEET THE FACILITATOR

melissa cornacchia

Hey there! I’m Melissa, also known as the Honeybee of the Homestead. My homesteading journey started 16 years ago, and it's been wild how far I’ve come. These days, you’ll find me sipping on herbal teas, sprinkling herbal salts and dried herbs on my meals, and indulging in homemade soaps and tallow body butter made from plant-infused oils. I tend to my gardens and spend time with the plant allies out in the forest and fields—I’m always learning something new from them.

I’m constantly in awe of how generous and forgiving the plants are, and I’m deeply grateful for all they give. I feel called to share the wisdom of these plants with you, and I’d love for you to join me on this journey.
