Let’s get to know the plants and learn how to work with them to create nourishing herbal products.
During these hands-on interactive workshops, time will be spent touring the gardens to introduce and reacquaint you with common spring plants, and to learn from them.
The group will learn how to prepare an herbal product to take home.
Stories will be shared about how certain plants have shown themselves to me and how I continue to relate to the plants.
Sunday, May 5 - Nourishing Herbal Infused Oils + Herbal Salve
The benefits of learning how to prepare potent nourishing herbal infused oils
Nourishing herbal infused oils are made by combining the medicinal properties of flowers, herbs or resins into specific carrier oils - like olive oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, and so on.
If you’re already preparing, or want to learn start preparing, salves, serums, body butters, creams and lotions, massage oils and homemade soap - herbal infusions will add an array of nourishing properties - depending on the plants used.
It’s a great place to start making your own first aid kit.

Sunday, June 2 - Drying and Storing Herbs + Herbal Salt
Learn how to dry and store herbs for optimal vitality and longevity and prepare a herbal salt to take home.
Drying and storing herbs and flowers is a great first step in storing the season’s harvest, no matter the size of your space.
Rich in vitamins, minerals, and volatile oils flowers and herbs can be added to your favourite dishes, tea blends, and soothing baths or foot soaks, to name a few.
Tickle your taste buds, learn about the versatility of dried herbs, and extend their shelf life!
