“It was such a lovely day! It was rejuvenating and exactly what I needed. If you do more like this, I’m in!
”
When was the last time you gave yourself a whole day to simply be, create, and be nourished?
As the season deepens, gift yourself a day to sink into the quiet, reflective pace of late fall. Imagine being gently held by nature—surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Mississippi River, fresh air, and the deep stillness of the trees. This day is curated just for you: a warm invitation to unwind, listen to your inner whispers, and be creative.
This Retreat is For You If You Are:
This experience is designed specifically for the woman who is ready to finally schedule essential time just for herself, restore her energy, explore her creativity, and feeling nourished.
The dedicated caregiver who knows it's finally time for a necessary recharge after always taking care of others.
Deeply desiring the comfort of being held by the gentle rhythm of the season and a supportive community.
Seeking the best of both worlds: You'll have ample time to rest and reflect and you'll discover the ancient, calming craft of handmade incense making.
Someone who thrives in intimate settings. We intentionally limit our group to no more than 10 people to ensure deep connection and quiet space.
Enjoy being nourished by a warming seasonal lunch, comforting snacks, and sip on our rotating selection of herbal blends.
Your Day of Deep Nourishment and Connection
Your journey is designed to ground you into this slow, gentle pace:
Rest Easy: We'll ease into the day with gentle movement and a grounding practice followed by quiet reflection. Find deep relaxation and release in the hot tub and sauna.
Be Nourished: You’ll be served warm, delicious seasonal food and comforting herbal teas.
Creative Connection: The afternoon is dedicated to the beautiful, aromatic art of making your own bioregional incense with Megan Spencer of The Sacred Gardener. You'll learn to responsibly source, process, and craft your own incense cones. You'll also gain a deeper understanding of why creating your own incense is a valuable and safer alternative to many commercial products.
Your journey into incense making continues beyond the retreat with a 10-page PDF and a 12-minute video that walks you through every step, from sourcing to crafting.
Give yourself this time to slow down, connect, and just be. You will leave with your own handmade incense, a sense of quiet restoration, and the beautiful feeling of connection and renewal.
“The relaxed atmosphere was exactly what I needed”
Why make your own?
We love incense. Over the years we noticed that we often would get headaches or feel sick after burning incense we bought. We started to wonder if we could make our own. The journey began 15 years ago when we found out that incense often is created outside of safety regulations, because it is not consumed internally. This means that it is not required to disclose things like what the wood base is in your incense (often this is scrap wood, left over from industry which can include pressure treated woods), or how the scents are created (toxic fragrances passed off as 'pure' essential oils).

“I personally enjoyed the full experience, with like minded people and connections to nature and nurturing ourselves in and with nature.
I plan on attending more day programs in the future”
